Yes! Car dashboards, mirrors, glass doors. Any non-porous surface that isn't oiled or waxed in any way will keep your phone or tablet magnetized safely in place. You'll be surprised how steady it is, even if you're driving on a bumpy road for example. That, however, also means that if your car dashboard is oiled leather, we cannot guarantee that the surface holder will keep sticking for a long time. So we recommend the vent holder for you instead.
